How Points are Calculated
Senior Point Standings
A fencer must have a total of at least 275 points to be included on the point standings.
The sum of the best FIVE points earned at designated international competitions (best FOUR for Women's Foil, best THREE for Women's Saber) PLUS the TWO highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Div1 (Dec-2003)
- NAC Div1 (Jan-2004)
- NAC Div1 (Apr-2003)
- Division I Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Designated International Results within last 12 months not already counted
- Non-designated International Results within last 12 months
Junior Point Standings
The sum of points earned at designated international competitions PLUS the
FOUR highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Junior (Jan-2004)
- NAC Div1 (Dec-2003)
- NAC Div1 (Jan-2004)
- NAC Div1 (Apr-2003)
- Division I Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Junior Olympics U-20 (Feb-2004)
- Under-19 Nationals (Jul-2003)
Cadet Point Standings
The sum of points earned at designated international competitions PLUS the sum of
points earned within the previous 12 months at NAC Div 1 events
PLUS the FOUR highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Cadet (Oct-2003)
- NAC Junior (Jan-2004)
- Junior Olympics U-17 (Feb-2004)
- Junior Olympics U-20 (Feb-2004)
- Under-16 Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Under-19 Nationals (Jul-2003)
Youth-14 Point Standings
The sum of the FOUR highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Y-14 (Apr-2003)
- NAC Y-14 (Oct-2003)
- NAC Cadet (Oct-2003)
- Junior Olympics U-17 (Feb-2004)
- Youth-14 at Summer Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Under-16 Nationals (Jul-2003)
- One Super Regional Youth-14 result
Youth-12 Point Standings
The sum of the FOUR highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Y-12 (Apr-2003)
- NAC Y-14 (Apr-2003)
- NAC Y-14 (Oct-2003)
- Youth-12 at Summer Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Youth-14 at Summer Nationals (Jul-2003)
- One Super Regional Youth-14 result
- One Super Regional Youth-12 result
Youth-10 Point Standings
The sum of the FOUR highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Y-10 (Apr-2003)
- NAC Y-12 (Apr-2003)
- Youth-10 at Summer Nationals (Jul-2003)
- Youth-12 at Summer Nationals (Jul-2003)
- One Super Regional Youth-12 result
- One Super Regional Youth-10 result
Veteran Combined Point Standings
The sum of the points earned at the following events:
- NAC Veteran (Dec-2003)
- NAC Veteran (Mar-2004)
Veteran-40, Veteran-50, & Veteran-60 Point Standings
The sum of the TWO highest point totals among the following events:
- NAC Veteran (Dec-2003)
- NAC Veteran (Mar-2004)
- Veteran Age Group Nationals, (Jul-2003)
